NEW ORLEANS SPIRIT & CARIBBEAN RHYTHMS

"Evoking New Orleans spirit and Caribbean rhythms"

Volker Deglmann (Trumpet), Gero Koerner (Hammond B3), Benedikt Hesse (Drums)

Drums, trumpet and Hammond organ tell of campfires in the swamps of Louisiana and endless nights in Caribbean clubs.

Benedikt found inspiration for this unlikely trio in the most likely place: the infamous Maple Leaf Bar in New Orleans, the cradle of jazz. That was in 2010. Three studio albums followed, the current recording produced by none other than "Johnny V" Vidacovich, a real drum legend from Mississippi.
